ExxonMobil Baytown Area Sites Orientation

Course Information

This course includes the following topics: Introduction, General Safety Rules, Personal Protective Equipment, Scaffold User, Safe Work Practices, General and Facility Security Awareness, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Fire Prevention, Emergency Procedures, Radiation Hazards, Hazard Communication, Environmental Work Practices and Procedures, Work Permit System, Sensitive/Critical Equipment, and Conclusion. Additional Course Notes: The Baytown Area Sites include the Baytown Complex (BTCX) which consists of Baytown Refinery (BTRF) and Baytown Chemical Plant (BTCP); Baytown Olefins Plant (BOP); Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant (MBPP); and Baytown Technology and Engineering Complex (BTEC).This course will replace the Site-Specific courses for the aforementioned Baytown Area Sites and will be required upon expiration of the trainee’s existing Site-Specific training. The course tests throughout and trainees are given three opportunities to answer each question. When a trainee answers a question incorrectly on their third attempt, they will automatically be failed out of the course at the end of the section. Upon successful completion of the course, the proctor will provide the trainee with the yellow Baytown Area Site Alarm Tone Emergency Response sticker. Stickers can be obtained by contacting Tina Kee, Contracts Administrator ernestine.kee@exxonmobil.com or James Baal, Contracts Administration Qualification Coordinator james.b.baal@exxonmobil.com. Reflecting the acceptance of Safety Essentials/Safety Essentials Enhancer (SE-SAFE/SE-SAFER) and Safety Essentials Español (SE-SAFES). 2/22/23 JM – At the client’s request, proctors will NO longer provide yellow Baytown Area Site stickers. Instead, upon successful completion of the training, trainees must obtain the stickers from one of the following site locations: 1. Baytown Area Badging Office: 2303 Decker Dr 2. BOP Admin Lobby 3. Mont Belvieu Main Gate Frame 209 has been updated within the course to reflect the change.
